Accessibility statement

Gomibo is here for everyone. We believe it’s important that you can comfortably use our information and features, regardless of your tools, situation, or disability. With a wide range of (almost) all phones and providers, we help you find something that truly suits you — and that should, of course, be accessible to everyone.

Compliance status: partially compliant with WCAG 2.2 level AA

Accessibility is an integral part of our development and work processes. We are improving our website step by step, with the goal of fully complying with the WCAG 2.2 guidelines, and thus with European accessibility legislation, by 2027 at the latest.

Purpose and scope

This statement applies to the public pages on www.gomibo.fi and other websites owned by MobielWerkt B.V., including Belsimpel. We continuously work to improve digital accessibility so that everyone can make full use of our services.

Standards and status

We follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA. Currently, our websites are partially compliant with these guidelines. Most of the website is well usable, but some parts do not yet fully meet the requirements. These are being addressed step by step within our redevelopment roadmap.

What we have achieved

In recent periods, we’ve taken important steps toward better accessibility:

  • Full keyboard navigation for the main menu and key functions.
  • Added text alternatives for images, icons, and videos.
  • Clear and descriptive page titles for improved navigation.
  • Content scalable up to 200% without loss of functionality.
  • Fully responsive design that works well across different screen sizes and orientations.

Ongoing improvements

To fully comply with all WCAG 2.2 guidelines, we are improving our pages step by step, keeping accessibility as a key focus. To dedicate our full attention to this, the Belsimpel and Gomibo mobile apps have been temporarily removed from app stores. Existing users can still use them, but new downloads are not available.

We are currently working on:

  • Consistent focus indicators and logical order within complex components.
  • Clearer labels, error messages, and instructions in forms.
  • Improved color contrast in some older components.
  • Subtitles or transcripts for time-based media where needed.
  • Better heading hierarchy and recognizable link purposes.
  • Optimized use of ARIA, only where semantics alone are insufficient.

These updates are being rolled out across all domains of MobielWerkt B.V., as they share the same technology stack. We expect around 90% of our pages to meet the WCAG 2.2 Level AA guidelines by the end of 2026.

Any urgent accessibility issues reported in the meantime will be addressed and resolved immediately.

Our approach

To ensure sustainable accessibility, we take a structured approach:

  • Framework: WCAG 2.2 Level AA.
  • Assessment: ongoing self-evaluations using both manual and automated checks (including keyboard and screen reader sampling).
  • Integration in processes: accessibility is part of our design reviews, component library, and code reviews.
  • Prioritization: based on user impact and frequency of occurrence.
  • Training: regular training for product, design, and engineering teams.
